Ridna Schkola is a Ukrainian language school dedicated exclusively to children. Our mission is to develop their knowledge of the Ukrainian language and writing, while also providing a deep understanding of Ukrainian history and culture. We aim to instill in the younger generation the importance of preserving their cultural heritage and equip them with the knowledge to value and spread Ukrainian traditions.
What Students Learn at Ridna Schkola:
- Ukrainian Language and Writing: Children learn the basics of Ukrainian grammar, develop their speaking and listening skills, and enhance their reading and writing abilities. They acquire a solid foundation in the Ukrainian language, enabling them to communicate fluently, understand texts, and write correctly.
- Ukrainian History: Students are introduced to key events in Ukraine’s history, traditions, notable figures, and the milestones that shaped the Ukrainian nation. This knowledge helps children better understand their cultural roots and the significance of their heritage.
- Valuing and Spreading Culture: As part of their education, children actively participate in Ukrainian holiday celebrations, learn Ukrainian songs, dances, and customs, and are taught to pass these traditions on to others. They develop pride in their national identity and become ambassadors of Ukrainian culture within their communities.
